HONOR Dismisses Exit Rumors, Confirms Launch of 4 New Smartphones in India
Amid swirling rumors and social media chatter hinting at HONOR’s possible exit from the Indian market, the smartphone brand has officially cleared the air. HONOR has reiterated its commitment to India and revealed exciting plans to introduce four new smartphones in the country very soon.
The confusion began when unverified reports and misleading social posts speculated that HONOR was planning to wind down its operations in India. Addressing the speculation, CP Khandelwal, Brand Custodian of HONOR India, issued a statement via X (formerly Twitter), strongly denying the claims and assuring customers that HONOR isn’t going anywhere.
These rumors surfaced during a difficult time for several tech brands in India, particularly for HTech — the official licensee of HONOR in the country — which has reportedly faced import and supply chain hurdles. However, HONOR made it clear that such operational issues are temporary and not a sign of withdrawal.
Khandelwal emphasized that HONOR is fully focused on the Indian market, with long-term plans already in motion. The company had previously teased the launch of the HONOR X9c in India, but due to unforeseen delays, the launch didn’t materialize. Now, HONOR is doubling down on its presence with four upcoming smartphone launches.
“Let’s set the record straight — HONOR India is here — and thriving. We’re all geared up to launch four new smartphones soon,” said Khandelwal.
With these new launches, HONOR aims to strengthen its position in India’s competitive smartphone space. More details, including launch dates and specifications, are expected to be announced shortly.
Stay tuned — big things are coming from HONOR!
